12/8/2023 - Atlanta

While Yes Man Jr. spent the remainder of spring, summer and fall of 2023 recording "Say It Again", they continued honing their live set in rehearsals before taking the stage once again in December.

Returning to Inner Space in Underground Atlanta, Yes Man Jr. were billed alongside Mt. Wasabi, Seth Brown and Ashley Wingo.

An eventful show in the YMJ canon, the group performed without percussion as their drummer was out of town on short notice. Instead of being reasonable and bringing on a fill-in drummer or drum track, the band proceeded with no rhythm accompaniment whatsoever.

Pressure was further compounded when high E-strings broke on guitars, and finicky guitar straps needed be swapped. In the end, Yes Man Jr. powered through with a mellow set that resonated with their audience.

Openers Seth Brown and Ashley Wingo serenaded the crowd with a nice collection of tunes and lovely harmonies. Mt. Wasabi played a tight set with amazingly crafted songs and a variety of synthesizer and guitar effects.

Overall, the show was a successful one for Yes Man Jr. who fully expected that this show would cap off 2023. That is, until..
